“The new strict requirement comes into effect as Canada responds to the emergence of the new, highly mutated omicron variant of the coronavirus,” the report adds.

From November 30, Canada’s decision to include three more vaccines in the list of approved COVID-19 vaccines will also come into effect.

According to travel restrictions, to be considered a fully vaccinated person, a traveler must have received the recommended full dose of any of the above vaccines at least 14 full days prior to the day of departure.

If their proof of vaccination is not in English or French, they must produce a certified translation.
