Easy victory for the National

One of the most emphatic victories was achieved tonight, in Heraklion, by the Men’s National Handball, against Belgium with 42-24 for the group of the first qualifying phase of the 2023 world championship.

In the first part, Ethniki made an amazing appearance in defense and attack. With Petros Bukovinas having a percentage of 47% in the home and with excellent options in the attack (81% accuracy), the representative team completely dominated and entered the locker room with a difference of 12 goals (21-9). Vangelis Arabatzis with six goals and Tassos Papadionysiou with five were the top scorers of the National Team, both with 100% accuracy.

In the second half, George Zaravinas gave participation time to all his athletes and they continued in the same high rhythms, continuing to take advantage of the gaps, especially in the center of the Belgian defense, where the Greek pivots did whatever they wanted. It is noteworthy that with the exception of the goalkeepers, all the internationals scored, while Tzortzinis and Papazoglou celebrated their first goals with the National team.
The internationals did the 5×5 in the qualifying group for the 2023 World Cup and on Sunday they will go to Ankara to face Turkey in order to keep the absolute victory.
