European 2022: The Spaniards are lucky in the premiere

The 15th European Men’s Handball Championship kicked off today in Hungary and Slovakia, with 24 teams competing with Spain trying to defend its title.

Fourias Rochas started the tournament somewhat rusty as they needed the help of luck to overcome the resistance of the Czechs and start defending the title with a victory (28-26).
Note that the matches take place in a crowded stadium (with strict sanitary protocols). Typical is the sold out in the match between Hungary and the Netherlands where 20,022 tickets were sold for the Budapest arena.
