European 2022: Wins for Poland, Iceland and Germany

Only three matches were played today for the European Men’s Handball Championship, co-organized by Hungary and Slovakia.

In the game of the 2nd group, Iceland defeated the fighting Portugal 28-24. With many young players in its lineup, Iceland managed to lead 14-10 at halftime (although Portugal in the 20th minute was at 9-7) and then maintain the +4 until the end.
Although they lost several players due to the coronavirus, Poland scored a significant victory over Austria 36-31, making a good start to the tournament.
Germany despite their bad start where they found themselves losing at halftime 18-17 from Belarus, managed to reverse the situation and take the victory with 33-29.
