Novak Djokovic has his visa canceled yet again

Rupture: Novak Djokovic sees his visa canceled AGAIN.

THE Australian government has announced that it has again canceled the visa of defending Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic.

Australian Immigration Minister Alex Hawke announced today (January 14) that Djokovic’s visa is being canceled for the second time: “It was canceled for reasons of health and good order, on the grounds that it was in the public interest to do so,” the minister said.

Rumors had persisted as to whether the 34-year-old would be able to defend his title after revelations he lied about his visa application and had actually traveled within 14 days of landing in Melbourne after visiting Marbella Spain for a few training sessions.

Hawke continued, “Today I exercised my power under Section 133C (3) of the Migration Act to cancel the visa held by Mr. Novak Djokovic.

“This decision follows orders from the Federal Circuit and Family Court of January 10, 2022, setting aside an earlier annulment decision on grounds of procedural fairness.

“In making this decision, I have carefully considered the information provided to me by the Home Office, the Australian Border Force and Mr. Djokovic.

“The Morrison government is strongly committed to protecting Australia’s borders, particularly with regard to the Covid-19 pandemic. I thank the Home Office and Australian Border Force officers who work every day to serve Australia’s interests in increasingly challenging operational environments.

This is late breaking news, we will continue to update this page as more information becomes available.
