Another tragic “loss” for the track and field family as Theofilos Pylianidis “passed away” at the age of just 62, struck by the coronavirus.

A former athlete of Iraklis in the nearby and then international track and field judge, Theofilos Pylianidis was a professor at TEFAA Komotini. He has been teaching the leaps of classical sports in the specialty of TEFAA-DUTH since 1986, as well as the courses “Selection of Sports Talents” and “Training in childhood”. Also teaching in postgraduate programs from 1996 to director of the coaching department at TEFAA-DUTH during the period 2008-2012.
He was a member of the training and scientific support committee of SEGAS.
According to the report, four days ago he was intubated at the University General Hospital of Alexandroupolis and unfortunately on Wednesday night it became known that he ended up.
