The town hall of VILLAJOYOSA has drawn up plans for the restructuring and rehabilitation of the old N-332 bridge over the Amadorio river.

The project must now be presented to the Culture Department of the regional government and to the Confederacion Hidrografica del Jucar, which is responsible for the region’s waterways.

Although he needs the approval of so many different administrations, La Vila’s public works and technical services adviser Kiko Carreres revealed that he was confident that work would start this year, although it is too early to say if this would happen before or after the summer.

The project, with a budget of 1.25 million euros, will include the demolition and reconstruction of several of the most damaged areas of the bridge built between 1863.
