The president of the Constitutional Court, Juan José González Rivas, disagrees that the suspension of parliamentary terms during the first weeks of the first state of alarm violated the rights of the deputies, because, among other reasons, Congress was not “paralyzed” in that time.

The Constitutional Court has released this Monday the sentence declaring unconstitutional that decision of the Board of Congress adopted on March 19, 2020 and the individual votes against four magistrates, including the president.
